Foundation for Development of Ukraine to Launch Digital Chest X-Ray Laboratory in Donetsk
On 10 October, Rinat Akhmetov’s Foundation for Development of Ukraine (FDU) will launch a mobile digital X-ray laboratory to operate in cities and settlements of Donetsk oblast and provide free lung screening even without doctor’s prescription. The fluoromobile was purchased by FDU under the Program on Fighting TB Epidemic in Donetsk Region in 2007-2011 to improve timely diagnostics of TB and other pulmonary diseases, the Foundation’s press office reports. In particular, high resolution of the digital X-ray unit will enable to diagnose TB, silicosis, tumors and other lung abnormalities at early stages. This will facilitate treatment and enhance its efficiency. Fluoromobile costs UAH 640,000.
The picture shows: The mobile digital X-ray laboratory will start operating in Donetsk and then head to towns and settlements of the oblast. Working hours: 9-00 to 18-00; 9-00 to 14-00 on weekends; Monday is a day off.
